NEAGEP Mission
- Increase recruitment and degree completion rates of U.S. and Permanent Resident BIPOC in STEM doctoral programs.
- Increase visibility and access to graduate program options available to BIPOC students in NEAGEP institutions.
- Facilitate peer-to-peer mentoring relationships among students, faculty and staff across institutions.
- Share professional and career development activities for students, faculty and staff across institutions.
- Address fundamental gaps in the literature concerning obstacles to the achievement of diversity in the STEM doctoral programs and the STEM workforce.
- Leverage the NEAGEP consortium to obtain grants designed to diversify the STEM workforce.
