Dissertation Year Fellowship Application 2018-2019

The Graduate School is pleased to announce the opening of our annual competition for Dissertation Year Fellowships. Dissertation Year Fellowships for a maximum tenure of one academic year are available on a competitive basis to doctoral students who meet the criteria as outlined in the terms and awarding criteria. These awards include a stipend and a waiver of the doctoral research fee and mandatory fees for the period of the award.

Application Form

Any field with an asterisk (*) is required. After submitting the form you will be given a link to upload your proposal, CV, and schedule, all of which are required to complete the application process. The DYF Document Upload form will let you upload revisions to already submitted documents as often as needed up until the deadline. However, you will not be able to change any of your application information. If you need to change application information contact the Deans Office directly.

Statement of Significance: In no more than 150 words, provide a brief statement describing your proposed research and its contribution to your program/discipline in clear, concise, non-technical terms. If cutting and pasting from an existing document all formatting (bold, underline, etc.) will be stripped out. Spacing and carriage returns will remain.

  1. Please Note: A dissertation committee member can only provide a letter of reference IF the Graduate Program Coordinator (GPC) and your Dissertation Chair are the SAME PERSON. If not, letters from both the GPC and Dissertation Chair are REQUIRED

  2. I hereby waive any right to examine this letter of recommendation. I realize that my waiver of right of access to this recommendation is not a condition for an award
