Last day to withdraw or drop courses and qualify for 100% refund
Tuesday, January 22
Classes begin, follow TUESDAY schedule
Continuing graduate students are expected to
register for classes by January 22.
Tuesday, January 29
Last day for graduate students to register without a $25.00 late
registration fee (Except for GRAD 800,GRAD 900 and DEPT 999 which
continues through Feb. 8)
New graduate students are expected to register by January 29th.
Graduate web registration ends at 6:00pm. (Except for GRAD 800,GRAD 900
and DEPT 999 which continues through Feb. 8)
Friday, February 1
Last day to withdraw, to drop to part-time, or reduce part-time load and
qualify for tuition refund on ¾ difference in tuition.
February
Friday, February 8
Last day for graduate students to register and
pay without having degree status discontinued.
Last day to add courses without dean’s approval and $25 per course late
add* fee.
Last day to drop courses or change to audit without $25 late
audit/drop* fee.
Last day to choose pass/fail grading option (undergraduate courses).
* These fees are separate fees from the late registration fees.
Friday, February 15
Last day for completing application for admission to graduate study for
Semester I Fall 2008, to ensure consideration for financial assistance
for the 2008-2009 academic year.
Summer TA Fellowship application deadline
Friday, February 22
Last day to withdraw, to drop to part-time, or to reduce part-time load
and qualify for tuition refund (refund based on ½ difference in
tuition).
Last day to drop courses ($25 late fee continues to apply).
Last day to change to audit ($25 late fee continues to apply).
Last day to carry more than 16 credits without a surcharge.
March
Saturday, March 1
Priority deadline for receipt of FAFSA by the federal processor for
application for need-based financial aid for 2008-09 through the
Financial aid Office.
Friday, March 14 (MID-SEMESTER)
Last day to drop courses or withdraw from the University without grades
of WP or WF.
Last Day to file Intent-to-Graduate on-line for May 2008 graduation
without late fee.
Monday-Friday March 17-21
Spring Recess.

8:00 am Classes resume.
Friday, March 28
Last day to file Intent –to-Graduate on-line for May 2008 graduation
with a $25.00 late fee.

Fall 2008 Registration begins!!

Last day for completing application for admission to graduate study,

Recommended deadline for Fall 2008 admission.

Application forms for Part-time Tuition Scholarships for Semester I,
2008-2009 are available online and at the Graduate School.

Last day for final PhD dissertation defense (May 2008 graduation)

Last week to drop off a Thesis/Dissertation draft copy for formatting
review by the Graduate School (May 2008 graduation)

Last day an announced oral or written exam may be given before finals.
Friday, May 9
Last day for presenting final copies of doctoral dissertation or
master’s thesis to the Graduate School for binding (May 2008 graduation)

Last day of classes.
Last day for resolving Fall 2007 IC grades. Petitions for extensions are
due in the Graduate School, Thompson Hall
Last day to take final comprehensive examination for the master’s degree
(May graduation)

Reading Days.

Final exams begin.
Thursday, May 22
Final exams end.
