Frequently Asked Questions on the GRC

Who presents at the GRC?

The GRC is open to any graduate student at the University of New Hampshire who would like to present research in either poster or oral form. Special considerations are made for those students who have received travel grants from the University of New Hampshire Graduate School since June 1, 2007. These students are required to present their research in some form during the GRC.

Who attends the GRC?

The Graduate Research Conference is open to the entire University of New Hampshire Community, including students, faculty, staff, family, and friends. Please see the Events and Dates page to get more details on the event.

Do I have any options other than the main GRC event?

Although the GRC on Thursday April 17 is currently the only event planned.  Students are encouraged to inquire with their department or college regarding other talks, seminars, presentations, or colloquia that may be planned in conjunction with the GRC.  If a department would like to schedule an event to coincide with the GRC we encourage them to contact us.

At what event should I present?

Students are encouraged to inquire with their departments and colleges to find out what events are available to them. The department specific events are equally as important as the Main Graduate Research Conference Event and should be considered as such. Once a student has decided which event they wish to present at then they should indicate this on the registration form, or by e-mail to Jessie Knapp.

How do I register for the GRC?

You can reach the online registration form by going back to the main GRC page or by clicking the following Registration link. Please register on this website for any event you are going to be presenting at during the conference. If you do choose an event outside of the Main GRC Event you may indicate this in the last field of the registration page.

Can I change information once I have registered (i.e. Event, Presentation Topic, Abstract, or Personal Information)?

Yes you can change any of this information up until March 15. Because material needs to be printed, and space and time need to be allocated no changes may be made after this date. Please e-mail these changes to Jessie Knapp.

 I would like to present at the GRC, what are my options?

You may present either a poster or give an oral presentation. The guidelines for these will be forthcoming.
