Educational Administration & Supervision (MED, CAGS)

Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (C.A.G.S.) in Educational Administration

The C.A.G.S. program in Educational Administration is a certification program for New Hampshire superintendents.  It is designed for educators who already possess an M.Ed. or graduate education and have experience equivalent to that outlined in UNH's M.Ed. program in Education Administration.  Students prepare for careers as school superintendents, assistant superintendents, business managers, state department of education personnel, vocational education coordinators, curriculum coordinators, and educational personnel in private organizations or institutions of higher education.

Master of Education in Educational Administration and Supervision

This program is designed for the experienced teacher who seeks to become an educational administrator or supervisor.  It emphasizes preparation for elementary and secondary school principalships and general instructional supervision.  Courses are scheduled at convenient times for working professionals.

The program at Manchester enables students to complete their master's degree on a part-time basis. Two or three courses are offered in Manchester each semester during the academic year, provided enrollment is sufficient. Students who take the required courses when offered should be able to complete the program, including electives and concluding experience, within the six-year time limit. Students who wish to accelerate their program may also take courses on the Durham campus.
