FAQ
This FAQ is currently under construction as we gather information. Should you have any suggestions
please
email our office.
To see the various questions and answers just click on an
item below to expand the list.
- Admissions Questions
- How do I apply?
- You can apply either online, which is our
preferred method of accepting applications, or you can
request to have a paper version of the application
mailed to you.
- How can I check the status of my application?
- The easiest way to check your
application status online is
through your MyUNH/Blackboard account access.
For more information please visit the
MyUNH instructions page.
- If I apply to the UNHM program can I switch over to the
UNH program and vice-versa?
- Yes, but you need to submit a change of degree request to
the UNH Graduate School if you wish to change your
degree program. If it's approved then you can
change your application program to another campus, as
long as that program is offered at that campus.
- Financial Questions
- Is financial aid aid available?
- Financial aid is available in
the form of Stafford Loans. Students should check
with their department of interest with questions about
scholarships and assistantships.
For more information on financial aid, contact the UNH
Financial Aid Office at 603-862-3600 or visit:
www.unh.edu/financial-aid.
- Student Questions
- If I am in a UNH degree program can I take courses over in
Manchester? If I am a UNHM student can I take courses at
UNH?
- This can depend on the program you are in as your department
may have certain restrictions. In general you can take
courses at either campus but it may require permission to do so.
Please check with your department or contact us
directly.
- I am a student at UNHM what rules and regulations do I fall
under for degree and graduation requirements?
- Even though you are taking your coursework at UNHM the
academic requirements are those of the UNH Graduate School.
You are also responsible for any local rules and
regulations in Manchester, but academic policy is that of our main office in
Durham and the UNH Graduate School handles all administrative
policy.
- Graduation Questions
- I am graduating this semester - which ceremony can I
participate in?
- As a student in a UNHM program you have the option of either
participating in the UNHM or the UNH campus ceremony. Just
be sure to indicate which ceremony you wish to participate in.
You can do this by contacting our office directly. Be sure
to also file your intent to graduate card. This needs to
be signed by your department and sent to the UNH Graduate School
in Durham, however you can also drop it off at our office in
Manchester if you have all the signatures.
- When do the forms need to be submitted?
- By the deadlines specified by the UNH graduate school
calendar.
- Other General Questions
- Since I am in a UNHM degree program do I still need to
register every semester?
- Yes. You must be enrolled, in something, every fall and
spring. The exception is if you are in a summer only MST
degree program. Then you must be registered every summer.
- Do I pay tuition rates for UNH or UNHM?
- You pay the rates of the campus that you are taking the
courses at. If you take courses at both campuses then your
rates will be a mix of both campuses.
