HMP 810 - Financial Management for Clinicians

Includes basic elements of health care financial management
and cost accounting, including cost concepts and product
costing, budgeting, and variance analysis with an emphasis
on the departmental level of health care organizations.
Contains an overview of basic principles of accounting,
focusing on the balance sheet and statement of revenues and
expenses to include their analysis using the tools of ratio
analysis. Concludes with the basic concepts of capital
project analysis and health care reimbursement. Note: This
course is not part of the M.H.A. sequence. Prereq:
enrollment in nursing master's program; HMP majors
not allowed.
